Slip and Fall Lower Extremity Injuries

Slip and fall testing is performed in conjunction with Dr. Thurman Lockhart in Industrial and Systems Engineering. Testing is performed in the New Engineering Building (NEB) utilizing different surfaces and a rotating safety mechanism to prevent injury. Test subjects are outfitted with photoreflective markers and videotaped. The resulting video can then be analyzed for kinematics and kinetics of slips and falls using various computer techniques.
