Stephanie Beeman wins 2nd Place Torgersen Award

Stephanie Beeman

March 30, 2011 – Congratulations to Stephanie Beeman who won the 2nd Place MS Oral Presentation at the Paul E. Torgersen Graduate Student Research Symposium!

The Paul E. Torgersen Graduate Student Research Excellence Award was established in 1990 in recognition of Dr. Torgersen’s many years of service as Dean of the College of Engineering.  The purpose of the award is to recognize and reward distinguished research in graduate engineering studies.  Based on short papers describing their research, the top three M.S. candidates and three Ph.D. candidates from the entire College of Engineering are invited for oral presentations.  The selection committee then ranks the students 1st, 2nd, and 3rd Place in each category.  Award certificates and monetary awards are presented as recognition for their achievement.
